Philosophie de conception et qualité de fabrication
La prise en main de ces deux claviers révèle des philosophies de conception radicalement différentes.
Le Keychron Q1 Max Gen 2 donne l'impression d'être un outil industriel. C'est une plaque d'aluminium usinée CNC. Une fois posé, il ne bouge pas d'un millimètre. Aucune flexion. L'anodisation de 2026 a été considérablement améliorée, offrant une meilleure résistance aux traces de doigts que les anciens modèles Q1. Cependant, son épaisseur (environ 20 mm de rebord avant) impose l'utilisation d'un repose-poignets. Sans repose-poignets, l'angle d'extension du poignet est trop prononcé pour les sessions prolongées.
Le Nuphy Air75 V3, quant à lui, est conçu pour un usage quotidien. Il conserve son esthétique « pop » caractéristique avec ses touches tricolores et son boîtier inférieur semi-transparent. Élégant, ludique et incroyablement fin, il se glisse facilement dans un sac à dos. Sa construction est robuste, mais le boîtier inférieur, souvent en plastique ABS pour gagner du poids et faciliter la transmission du signal, lui confère une densité inférieure à celle du Keychron.

Expérience de frappe : frappe puissante vs. frappe rapide
C’est là que la divergence est la plus significative.
L’expérience Keychron :
Taper sur le Keychron Q1 Max est une expérience acoustique unique. Grâce à la nouvelle couche de mousse acoustique introduite cette année, le son est profond, riche et agréablement « thocky ». Le montage sur joint offre une sensation de frappe douce et dynamique. Il absorbe l’impact des doigts, réduisant la fatigue lors de sessions de 2 000 mots. Les stabilisateurs sont vissés et parfaitement lubrifiés en usine : aucun cliquetis, juste une frappe fluide.
L’expérience Nuphy : L’Air75 V3 utilise des commutateurs à profil bas (j’ai testé les Gateron Moss tactiles). La course est plus courte (2,5 mm contre 4,0 mm). Il en résulte une frappe plus réactive. On peut taper plus vite car les touches reviennent plus rapidement, mais la sensation de frappe en fin de course est plus abrupte. Le son est plus aigu, un « clac » plutôt qu’un « thock ». C'est satisfaisant, mais cela ressemble plus à un clavier d'ordinateur portable haut de gamme dopé aux stéroïdes qu'à un clavier mécanique traditionnel.
Connectivité et compatibilité Mac
Les deux marques ont bâti leur réputation sur la compatibilité Mac et, en 2026, elles restent leaders. Les deux claviers sont équipés de commutateurs physiques permettant de basculer entre les modes macOS et Windows, les touches multimédias étant inversées en conséquence.
Bluetooth et 2,4 GHz :
J’ai testé les deux claviers dans un immeuble d’appartements où le signal est dense.

Nuphy : L’Air75 V3 se connecte instantanément. Je passe fréquemment de mon MacBook Pro à mon iPad Pro. La transition prend moins de 2 secondes. Le dongle 2,4 GHz est minuscule, mais sa portée est légèrement inférieure à celle du Keychron.

Keychron : L’emplacement de l’antenne sans fil du Q1 Max Gen 2 a été repensé pour éviter les interférences dues au boîtier métallique. La connexion est extrêmement stable. La fréquence d’interrogation de 8 000 Hz du dongle 2,4 GHz est excessive pour la saisie de texte, mais pour le jeu, elle rend le Keychron indiscernable d’un clavier filaire.
Logiciel : Keychron conserve l’avantage sur ce point. La prise en charge de VIA fonctionne directement dans le navigateur (Chrome/Edge). Vous pouvez reconfigurer les touches, créer des calques et ajuster l'éclairage sans installer de logiciel superflu. Nuphy a récemment adopté VIA, mais l'implémentation sur la V3 présente encore quelques bugs, nécessitant parfois une réinstallation du firmware pour que les paramètres soient pris en compte.
Les points rédhibitoires : ce que vous devez savoir
Aucun produit n'est parfait. Voici les frustrations que j'ai rencontrées après trois mois d'utilisation.
Problèmes d'autonomie de la batterie :
En raison de la finesse du châssis, la batterie est physiquement plus petite. Avec le rétroéclairage RGB à pleine luminosité, l'Air75 V3 peine à tenir une semaine de travail complète (40 heures). Je me suis retrouvé à devoir recharger le câble USB-C tous les 3 ou 4 jours. Si vous n'aimez pas les câbles de charge qui encombrent votre bureau, c'est particulièrement agaçant.
Problèmes d'ergonomie du Keychron : La hauteur du Keychron Q1 Max pose un réel problème pour la santé des poignets si l'on néglige l'ergonomie. Il est impossible d'utiliser confortablement ce clavier à plat sur le bureau sans repose-poignets. Cela augmente son prix et l'encombrement sur le bureau. De plus, son poids important fait qu'il ne peut pas être utilisé comme un appareil hybride : il reste où on le pose.
En 2026, le choix entre Keychron et Nuphy dépendra de votre espace de travail principal. Si vous disposez d'un bureau à domicile et recherchez le summum du confort de frappe, le Keychron Q1 Max Gen 2 est le clavier idéal. Il offre un meilleur son, une sensation plus haut de gamme et une personnalisation infinie.
En revanche, si vous êtes nomade numérique, étudiant ou si vous appréciez un bureau minimaliste, épuré et sans fil, le Nuphy Air75 V3 correspond mieux à votre style de vie. Il offre un parfait compromis entre le Magic Keyboard et les claviers mécaniques. Pour ma part, j'utilise le Keychron au quotidien, mais le Nuphy ne quitte jamais mon sac de voyage.
